Setting up a Visitor Information Centre: A scoping paper

The London Borough of Havering (LBH) has decided to construct a new purpose-built Visitor Information Centre (VIC) in Romford town centre, an initiative stimulated by the approaching Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012 in Stratford which is only nine miles distant. This report looks at issues surrounding the development of a new VIC i.e. objectives, role, target markets and relevant functions. It also looks at how best to promote the centre with a view to long-term sustainability.
