Visitor Management and Interpretation at Chatham Historic Dockyard



We undertook a review of visitor management and interpretation in the Chatham maritime area, focusing on the Historic Dockyard, the Royal Engineer's Museum and Fort Amhurst as visitor centres within the wider fortified area. This was part of a wider study looking at the viability of seeking World Heritage Site status. We identified a range of key issues and opportunities.
