We undertook a review of the policies and procedures involved in white on brown tourism road signs in London, including extensive consultation with local highways departments from the 33 London Boroughs, Transport for London, Local Authority Tourism Officers, as well as attractions and destinations and those who use the signs, such as coach drivers. The information was used to draw up a new set of guidance for tourism signs on local roads in London, as well as assessment criteria.
