Tourism input to the G20 in 2020, with OECD

Tourism was identified as a key topic for debate by the leading G20 countries in 2020. We were commissioned by OECD to develop a report on seamless travel as one of the main outcomes of the G20 Tourism Working Group. This involved a survey of all the G20 countries, in coordination with the G20 2020 Presidency (Saudi Arabia) and leading international tourism bodies. The research considers policy issues related to visitor handling and the application of new technology, including in areas of visa requirements, digital traveller identity, multimodal connectivity and visitor management, with additional attention paid to issues arising from the advent of the global pandemic during the year.
