Over the past year The Tourism Company has been developing expertise in cruise tourism, working alongside our partners at the Seatrade Cruise Research Centre and Beckitt Rankine.  Our work to date has focused on the feasibility of new cruise terminals on the Thames - in central London and at Gravesend.  Following site assessments by Beckitt Rankine, marine engineers, and consultations with planners, developers and landowners we identified suitable sites for new developments. Using contacts in the cruise industry we have been able to get the views of key decision makers on proposed destinations and terminals, and combine this insight with analysis of market data and trends, to assess the feasibility and requirements of new terminals.
