An assessment of the effectiveness of new technologies for providing visitor information and management in Greenwich

We were commissioned by the London Borough of Greenwich to look at the extent to which new technologies have a part to play in the provision of information to visitors once they are in the destination. Amongst the technologies explored were GPS-enabled mobile phones, SMS, information kiosks, mobile webpages, location-based services and location-aware devices. The report used existing research into visitor behaviour and case studies to develop evidence-based recommendations.
